Favourite Short Break Destination: Without a doubt this has to be Edinburgh. It has the old charm of a historic city mixed with a lively cultural scene meaning you’re never short of things to do. I love nothing more than looking around the shops and I always make a trip up there in December to catch the festive Christmas markets.
Favourite Theatre Show & Why: My favourite show is dirty dancing; it is perfect for a girl’s night out! It is a great production and it will have you singing and dancing in no time.
Most Memorable Holiday & Why: My most memorable holiday was when I was about 12 in Majorca. It is the first foreign holiday I can remember and there was so much to do, the beaches were beautiful and the weather was amazing. I have recently gone back to Majorca and I enjoyed it as much as I did when I was younger!
Name 1 random fact about yourself: My favourite thing to do is to go and visit my friends from around the UK and Ireland, from Dublin to London each city has something different to offer. Of course I love discovering new things online too, but sometimes you can’t beat a bar of chocolate, one of your favorite TV programs and a good spot on the sofa!

Favourite Short Break Destination: London. I was born there. I have worked there for most of my life and I simply love this city. It’s ever-changing cultural landscape always excites me. I now live in a sleepy Cambridgeshire village with my wife and family. I travel into London at least three times a week and try to stay over as often as possible.
Favourite Theatre Show & Why: I have added my top 10 to the blog. Les Miserables wins for me and the 10th anniversary performance at The Royal Albert Hall was the best ever! Thank you Cameron Mackintosh.
Most Memorable Holiday & Why: Age 16 my parents let me camp for the whole summer in an Irish fishing village called Dunmore East in Waterford. It was better than any Famous Five novel. I hope to do the same for my children when they reach that age.
Name 1 random fact about yourself: I toasted midnight on Millennium eve with my father in law and brother in law on the middle of a frozen lake in the North Woods of Wisconsin. That was special. Sadly the beer was Budweiser!

Favourite Short Break Destination: New York, New York!! My favourite city in the world. I like nothing better than strolling down Broadway, sunny afternoons in Central Park, taking in a show and most importantly picking up bargains in Macy’s on Herald Square.
Favourite Theatre Show & Why: No doubt about it – its Hairspray. A fantastic cast full of energy, great story line and songs that will have you singing for weeks, it just has it all.
Most Memorable Holiday & Why: Going back to Ibiza this year after a long absence was amazing – there are few views in the world better than the sunset viewed from Café del Mar and Mambo in San Antonio and the night clubs are some of the best in the world.
Name 1 random fact about yourself: Despite the fact that I can’t sing or dance very well at all, I love entertaining and always dreamt of being a Redcoat! Hosting the quiz in my local pub will just have to do.

Favourite Short Break Destination: Venice…(with Paris a close second!) It’s probably the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to. If you visit when the Venice Bienniale is on you can make your way around the city and see some fantastic art in settings not normally open to the public – from hidden courtyards to crumbling palazzo’s on the Grand Canal! A gondola ride, although expensive, is a must – try haggling with your gondolier for a discount!
Favourite Theatre Show & Why: I would have to say The Mousetrap. I’m an avid Agatha Christie fan so there’s not really any competition really!
Most Memorable Holiday & Why: I took my boyfriend to the Icehotel in Sweden over Christmas 2007 – his birthday’s on Christmas Day! We went dog sledding and Ice Carving and Reindeer Racing! After 3 nights in the ice we travelled to Stockholm and island hopped (and shopped!). It was the perfect festive/birthday break!
Name 1 random fact about yourself: I love nothing more than a bit of celebrity spotting on my travels! New York has proven to be the best location for this so far but I’m keen to see if I can find somewhere that beats it!
